Vaonis Smart Telescopes
Vaonis is a French manufacturer of the first ever smart telescope, the Stellina, that was released in 2018. Zoltan T., director of 365Astronomy was sceptical back then, but now considers it a huge mistake as Vaonis telescopes prepared the road for later competitors like Unistellar, Dwarflab and ZWO's brand: Seestar. 365Astronomy has been appointed as a distributor of Vaonis telescopes and accessories in 2024, supplying several high end specialist telescope retailers in the UK and a few international companies.
We see that sometimes customers ignore the Vaonis Vespera telescopes due to the somewhat higher price, compared to competing models (i.e. the Seestar S50, featuring an optical system with the same aperture of 50mm), however once you take into consideration that these telescopes can achieve the currently largest overall resolution of an image, that changes the story completely. With the built-in mosaic feature, the Vespera II offers you 24 Mpx and the Vespera Pro up to a whopping 50Mpx resolution of a mosaic.
Vespera telescopes are less portable than the nearly pocket sized Dwarflab telescopes, the Dwarf 3 and Dwarf Mini, but both brands use friction drive, which makes these less vulnerable to possible damage (i.e. if you drop them) than other makes, like the Seestar S30 and S50.
