ZWO 60mm Finder and Guide Scope with 280mm focal length, tube rings, dovetail bar and rotating helical focuser

This new version of the ZWO 60mm Finder and Guide Scope comes with both Vixen-style dovetail bar and a narrower dovetail bar that is compatible with various finderscope shoes, like the 20820 Skywatcher Finderscope Shoe, Baader Standard Base, Primaluce Lab DX Deluxe Finderscope Shoe (Black)Primaluce Lab DX Deluxe Finderscope Shoe (Red),  just to mention the most popular.

Guide Scope
The ZWO 60mm guide scope will be a good addition to any ZWO CMOS USB camera that we sell, especially if you want to use the camera as a guide scope. It comes with a rotating helical focuser with 30mm focus travel. The helical focuser has got three thumbscrews to stop any flexure whilst guiding. So, once you focused the camera, secure the helical focuser with these plastic thumbscrews.

Finder Scope
It can also be used as a straight through finder scope with a standard 1.25" eyepiece (not included), but there is a possibility that we'll come up with a modified version that can be used with a mirror diagonal or amici prism as well...

We've actually tested it with a TS-Optics Eyepiece holder (the shorter version) and a 1.25" mirror diagonal (whist the last 35mm long section of the scope was removed) and it did come to focus with a GSO 9mm and GSO 25mm Plossle eyepieces at infinity, so this way it can be converted into an angled finderscope. See image below:



Telephoto lens
Thanks to its modular design, by removing the last 40mm section of the tube (nearest to the focuser), we gain enough back focus to accomodate a dSLR camera behind the focuser. You'd also need an optional camera-specific T-ring and a T-thread to 1.25" nosepiece adapter as well.
So this way, you even get a fast f/4.67 tele lens of modest quality.
This is of course not the main attraction of this scope, but why not to try it this way as well...

Above image: ZWO guidescope shown with Baader Standard Base that fits the smaller dovetail bar perfectly even when both dovetail bars are on.

Above images: ZWO 60280 guidescope shown with SMALL Universal Mounting Platform / Clamp which is also a very sturdy and secure solution. The small dovetail bar has to be removed for this alternative clamping method.

Above images: ZWO 60280 guidescope shown with Primaluce Lab DX Deluxe Finderscope Shoe (Red). For this method the large dovetail bar has to be removed and the smaller one installed.

Above images demonstrate that the Primaluce Lab DX Deluxe Finderscope Shoe (both red and black) would not work until the larger dovetail bar has been removed. This is due to the angle of the thumbscrews, ie. the head of the thumbscrew will be stopped by the larger dovetail bar before it could be screwed in deep anough.
