TS-Optics 1.0x Universal Apo Flattener and Field Corrector
This really large flattener flattens the image field of refractors for astrophotography and provides a perfect image even for large sensors.

Teleskop-Service has reworked and improved the legendary 3" flattener. The result is an outstanding field corrector for astrophotography with large sensors, like full-frame size cameras. The typical field aberrations of refractors, like astigmatism and field curvature, are optimally corrected here. We don´t know any flattener in this class with comparable results.
Distance recommendations for the TSFLAT3 flattener:
The corrector is optimized for refractors of at least 700 mm focal length, but it can also be used with refractors of shorter focal length. The refractor has to offer a backfocus of at least 150 mm from the connection thread.
If it is used together with the M48 adapter, the following distances will result:
♦ Refractors of at least 700 mm focal length: 55 mm from the M48 thread
♦ Refractors from 480 mm to 690 mm focal length: 60 mm from the M48 thread
♦ The corrector is not suitable for refractors with a shorter focal length.
From the M80x1 connection thread, you have the following generous working distances:
♦ Refractors of at least 700 mm focal length: 116 mm from the M80 thread
♦ Refractors from 480 mm to 690 mm focal length: 121 mm from the M80 thread
Adapting of the TSFLAT3 to your telescope:
The corrector requires at least a 2.5" focuser. At the telescope side, a male M92x1 thread is at your disposal. The TSFLAT3 fits directly to the large 3.7" RPA focuser TSFOC37 with which also the large Photoline apos are equipped.

These adaptions allow versatile connections to nearly all common systems. In order to calculate the right distances, we noted the remaining distance to the focal plane. So you can determine the necessary extension tube for the correct distance.
A particularly recommended combination - the 2.5" Flattener and the 2-5" Off-Axis-Guider:

The off-axis-guider works perfectly with the flattener and can be screwed directly to it allowing the use of its full aperture. The adapter concept is designed for enough back focus even for (D)SLR cameras.
The connection scheme:
Via our short adaptions, you can attach a (D)SLR camera directly. We have ready systems for Canon EOS, Nikon and 4/3 (Olympus four thirds).
Alternatively, you can also adapt directly to T2 (Adapter 2-T2s) with 45mm of back focus that is enough for all existing Astro-CCD cameras.
