For which combinations is the RC corrector recommended?
When the camera's sensor diagonal is larger than 25mm, we recommend this flattener.
Adapting the flattener to RC and camera:
The following figure shows the adaption of the flattener and gives two further recommendations.
Adapter kit TSFLAT2A: attaches (D)SLR cameras via the T2 thread. All necessary parts are supplied. Remaining distance from the T2 thread to the focal plane: 55mm.
TSOAG27: Guiding and capturing with the same optical system. It is screwed directly to the flattener. Remaining distance from the T2 thread to the focal plane: 82mm.
Which adapters do I need to connect my camera?
With 109mm back focus, the TS RC Flattener offers enough space to integrate additional accessories like off-axis-guiders, filter wheels or filter drawers. For an individual adaption, we need precise information about your desired setup. Then, we can guarantee to sell the correct adapters to you.
Direct adaption of a (D)SLR camera to the flattener:
A very common application. You need the adapter kit TS Flat 2A (see "accessories") and a T2 bajonet ring for your camera model. If you want to use the TS OAG 27, you need the variable T2 extension TS T2V VAR.
Adapting an individual CCD camera:
We can offer adaptions to nearly every kind of CCD camera. To recommend the right articles, we need the following information from you:
-- connection thread of your camera (e.g. T2, SC...)
-- back focus distance of your camera (distance from connection thread to sensor surface)
-- eventually existing/wanted filter wheels, off-axis-guiders etc.
-- Multi-coated corrector with blackened lens edges
-- No focal reduction
-- Telescope side connection thread: M48x0.75 female
-- Camera side connection: M48x0.75 male
-- Free aperture: 45mm (much more than T2)
-- Outer diameter: 2" (fits directly into 2" focusers)
-- Back focus (distance from camera thread to focal plane): 109mm (± 2%)
