The SharpStar 15028HNT is the latest product and development of super-fast focal ratio, hyperboloid Newtonian reflector telescope from the Chinese manufacturer, Sharpstar. Manufacturing of Hyperboloids is much more complicated and demanding than traditional paraboloids, no matter in development, manufacturing or testing and alignment requirements. However, when compared to other similar products on the market, the SharpStar 15028HNT is in a leading position. Carbon fiber was used to create the tube, which is beautiful, durable and lightweight. It also provides best thermal stability when combined with Pyrex glass for the primary mirror.
The SharpStar 15028HNT provides a very good reflectivity (over 96%) thanks to the enhanced  aluminium coating. The secondary cross (spike) is a one-piece molded unit, to ensure firm and secure housing for the secondary mirror. The use of a precision 2.5" Rack and Pinion focuser offers larger payload and a stronger hold, so that your focuser will not slip when using heavy-duty observation accessories or camera.
The SharpStar 15028HNT is equipped with all CNC-machined aluminum parts and a novelty handle, which takes its mechanical quality and appearance to a new level. The lon slot on the handle also allows attachment of other optional accessories, i.e. a guidescope.

The SharpStar 15028HNT features a three-element coma corrector that helps to achieve full-frame photography and excellent perimeter dimming control (reduced or no vignetting).  See image below:
The focal plane is 55 mm from the M48X0.75 thread at the end of the focuser (from the end of the coma corrector, to be more precise...), this "standard" back focal distance provides ample space for any visual or photographic equipment, being it a dSLR or a CCD / CMOS camera.
