Lacerta 72/432 f/6 ED APO OTA with 2" OCTO Rack and Pinion Focuser in Alu Case
The Lacerta 72/432 FPL-53 ED APO Apochromatic Telescope is a good alternative to the William Optics Megrez 72 as the same Megrez objective lens has been used to build this telescope.
The best colour correction that can be achieved in an ED doublet was achieved by choosing a high quality Ohara/Japan glass material of FPL53 with NBM51 partner glass, best combination for a doublet ED.
We have also added a rack-and-pinion type OCTO dual speed focuser that can be turned around its axis to achieve the desired framing of your celestial object. It features 8 high quality ball bearings for best precision of movement, hence the title "OCTO".
The telescope comes with an aluminium case with extra slots for additional optical accessories...
Attaching to a telescope mount is possible with a Vixen-type dovetail bar. There is also an 1/4" photo thread on the dovetail bar in case you want to use it with a conventional photo tripod.
