Lunt Solar Systems All Products
H-Alpha Solar telescopes might appear to be very similar to night sky telescopes used for stargazing, and whilst the theoretical background (the science of optics and properties of light) is the same, still the behavior of these telescopes and how these principles are being used are actually somewhat different. This comes from the simple fact that in solar astronomy there is no problem with lack of light, rather the opposite.
So Lunt came up with a nice introduction to help users to understand how these work and what to expect from various apertures, what difference the various etalons will make and what are the benefits of having a double stacked solar filter vs a standard filter.
