TS Giant Off Axis Guider with 50mm Clear aperture and 10mm Optical Length
Teleskop Service Giant Off-Axis Guider for high payloads
... Full field illumination even for 36mm sensors
... Only 10 mm optical length
... Fits directly to the 3" correctors by ASA (Astro Systems Austria)
The TS Gigant Off Axis Guider can, thanks to its versatile adaptation options, be used with nearly all kinds of telescopes. Its design has been made especially with the 3" ASA correctors in mind. They can be screwed directly to the OAG resulting in a solid combination and only 10 mm OAG height. It accepts even heavy cameras and filter wheels up to 10 kgs. We also offer individual adaptations to other systems.
Advantages of Off Axis Guiding:
An off axis guider puts, compared with a guide scope with tube rings, far less weight on the mount. Differential flexure is no topic at all; eventually occurring mirror shifts are compensated automatically.
Further characteristics of the TSG-OAG:
-- Free aperture: 50 mm - enough even for bigger sensors
-- Auto guider connection via T2 thread - Auto guider can be focused independently
-- Prism can be adjusted
-- Optical length: 10 mm only!
-- Versatile telecope and camera adaption options by a variety of adapters
The extremely short design of this guider allows adaptions to nearly any optical system. We offer all necessary accessory parts including individual one-of-a-kind adaptations.
Connection to the telescope:
ASA 3" Newtonian correctorrs:
Our TS Giant off axis guider fits directly to the 3" ASA Newtonian correctors. The bores of the ASA3KORRR (reducer / corrector) and ASA3KORRW (Wynne corrector) align exactly. The guider is screwed to the corrector using M3 screws. Three mounting angles (3x 120°) are possible for optimal positioning of the guiding tower.
Individual adaptation to all common correctors, flatteners and focusers:
We manufacture all adapters to measure of your corrector. If the corrector is offered by us, naming it is sufficient. For other adaptations, we need the thread dimensions. (see "TSG-OAGAdap" in the accessory section)
Connecting cameras / filter wheels to the off axis guider:
A recommended connection is the M48 (2" filter) thread. The adapter ASA3-M48 has only 4mm optical length.
Individual adaptations to other threads:
Of course we can manufacture camera side adaptations according to your specification. Please have a look at the "TSG-OAGAdap" in the accessories section.
Bore dimensions of the TS Giant off axis guider
-- Free aperture: 50 mm
-- Adjustable prism (according to illuminated field size)
-- Sideward T2 auto guider connection with independend focus range of 26 through 38 mm
-- Distance OAG front flange - prism: 5 mm
-- Three M4 threads with countersunk head screws for individual adaptation (circle diametre 68.5 mm / radius 34.25 mm)
-- Three through borings for individual adaptation (9mm distance from the thread bores)
Scope of delivery:
-- TS Giant Off Axis Guider with sideward T2 connection
The TS Gigant Off Axis Guider on the ASA 3" WYNNE Corrector:
The image Way of the TS Gigant Off Axis Guider is only 10mm + the adapter to M48. This is really short, so you have space enough for your camera and/or filterweel. We also offer individual adaptions, for example to M68 or to M54 for your image train.
