T2 Ring for the Micro Four Thirds System

With this adapter ring, you can attach your micro four thirds camera to the T2 system.
As micro 4/3 cameras have a back focus of only 20mm, therefore this adapter usually consists of two parts, but some telescopes have short back focus and might not need the 20mm extender, so there is a version without the 20mm extender.

Included:

  • Bayonet adapter to T2 only
  • 20mm T2 extension tube

For telescope with very short back focus (e.g. some Newtonian telescopes) there is a version of this adapter without this 20mm extension.

On one hand, you can make a short adaption for focal photography; on the other hand, you can mount standard lenses with T2 back end to your camera keeping the correct distance to the focal plane.
If you are not happy with the position of your camera, the T2 bayonet ring can be adjusted in its rotational position using radial setting screws.

This adapter is suitable for the following camera models:
- Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, GH1K, GF1
- Olympus PEN E-P1, E-P2

Part A: T2 bayonet adapter

Part B: T2 extension for 55mm back focus

Thanks to our customer, Michael C. here is a great advise for Panasonic DMC-G1 users (might be helpful to other Panasonic users as well):
To be able to use a T-ring, there is a menu option 'Shoot without (w/o) lens', which must be set to 'On'.   On the Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1, this option is the very last item on Page 5 of the 'Custom Menu'.

Press 'MENU/SET' > Select 'CUSTOM MENU' > Scroll through to Page 5 > Select 'SHOOT W/O LENS' > Select 'ON'.
