The QHY5-II improves on the original QHY5 for guiding and planetary imaging applications. Unlike the older camera the QHY5-II has reduced banding and improved high FPS performance: up to 170fps @ 400 x 400 with a quantum efficiency (QE) of 56%. Low weight and compact size makes the new QHY5-II the ideal guide camera with useful planetary imaging capability.
We would recommend this camera if you would use it mainly as a guide camera or if you'd use it for imaging the Moon and the Sun (with a proper solar filter, of course) as the larger sensor would give you wider field of view, but if your plans are for mostly imaging the planets, then go for the QHY 5L-II instead.

Camera is 1.25" EP diameter and now has a native C mount as standard.
