Astro Physics CCD Tele Compressor CCDT67 0.67x Reducer with 85mm back focus for GSO RC and similar telescopes.

The Astro Physics tele compressor has originally been designed for telescopes with f/9 and slower. But tests have proven a very good suitability for the GSO RC telescopes. Stars are depicted tack-sharp within a field diameter of 29 mm.

Technical details:

  • Barrel size: 2"
  • Free aperture: 44mm
  • Camera side thread: M48x0.75 (2" filter thread)
  • Optimal back focus: 85 mm - if you change the distance, the kompressor factor will change. You can change the distance between M48 connection thread to the sensor from 70mm to 90mm with good results.
  • Focal reduction: 0.67x - f/8 becomes f/5.3, f/9 becomes f/6
  • Fully illuminated and corrected field diameter: 29mm

Adaptor Suggestion to T2 - for DSLR cameras:

we suggest following adaptors to find the perfect distance from the Reducer to the Chip.

-- TSFA2 ... Adaptor from M48 thread to T2 (optical way 38,2mm)

Than you have 55mm from the T2 thread to the chip position of the camera. Perfect for the standard T2 ring and the DSLR Camera. Of course, with the right adapters, you also can adapt other cameras and you also have space enough for Off Axis Guider and filter holder.
