365Astronomy 1.25" Non-rotating Pull-Out Fine Focuser with Female T-thread with 10mm Focus Travel
Could also be considered as a variable extension tube with male-female T-threads at the two ends...
Althought this is NOT a Non-turning Helical Microfocuser, it could be used similarly as it will also not rotate when you focus with it, but instead of a helical movement, it has got a much simpler, however still very precise pull-out movement without any wobbling.
So if you have a steady hand and don't requiry extremely precise focusing, this might be a good solution, and also a very cheap one.
On the telescope side it comes with a female (rather than male) T-thread (M42x0.75mm) and on the eyepiece (or camera) side it comes with a male T-thread and 1.25" eyepiece holder with brass compression ring.
The attached accessory (i.e. camera) stays in position when you secure the focusing with a thumbscrew as it is a non-rotating focuser.
POSSIBLE USE:
- this focuser could be used on a flip mirror in the straight through position as flip mirrors usually come with a reverse T-adapter, i.e. you could screw this focuser onto a male T-thread;
- other possible uses are also possible
Features of the 362522 Non-rotating Focuser
2 x thumbscrews to hold the eyepiece
1 x thumbscrew to secure focusing position
1.25" Eyepiece holder barrel with brass compression ring
Male T-thread at top end to attach a guide camera or other accessory
Female T-thread at the bottom (on the telescope side)
Extremely light: 90g
Optical length: 53 - 63.5mm (appr. 10.5mm focus travel)
Above optical length is shorter when you use a T-threaded accessory as you'll screw the accessory into the top of the focuser...
Telescope side T-adapter can be unscrewed and then it reveals a thread 31mm with 0.45mm pitch.
M31 to T-thread adapter included
Internal diameter at telescope side: 27.5mm
