NEW VERSION WITH BRASS COMPRESSION RING!
Multi Eyepiece Holder Wheel / Turret for 3 Eyepieces with Brass Compression Rings
This handy accessory helps to greatly reduce the time spent with swapping eyepieces and refocusing. At first you'll probably have to spend some time with achieving parfocality of your eyepieces, but once done, you can nearly forget about the focuser...
Have you considered buying two of these and achieving parfocality with 6 eyepieces?
- Eyepiece holders are of metal construction with one thumbscrew each
- Brass compression ring in each eyepiece holder barrel
- A positioning hole helps to recognise position of eyepieces.
- Click-stop movement.
Parfocality means that your object stays in focus when the eyepiece is changed. This is achieved by finding focus for one of the eyepieces and then instead of re-focusing with the focuser, you find the focus for the other two eyepieces by moving them inward or outward and then securing the eyepieces in focus position with the thumbscrew.
Normally astronomers use parfocalising rings to fix the position of the eyepiece. These can be used here as well, although if you have only three eyepieces, you could achieve this once without any parfocalising rings and then just simply leave your eyepieces in the multi eyepiece holder for the next observation...
If you had more than three eyepieces, you could either buy more multi eyepiece holders or use parfocalising rings.
