365Astronomy 5-position 2" Filter Wheel
This is a 2" manual filter wheel that holds 5 standard 2" filters.
Can be used for visual observations or photography as well.
On the telescope side it has a female M54 thread plus an adapter to convert the M54 thread into M48 thread. An M48 to 2" nosepiece adapter is also included, so if there is no M54 or M48 thread on your telescope, you can still slide it into a standard 2" eyepiece holder barrel of a 2" focuser.
On the camera side it has got a M48 female thread, a M48 to M48 inverter, a large locking ring and a large 2" eyepiece holder barrel (featuring a brass compression ring).
Obviously, you'll only use the included 2" nosepiece and 2" eyepiece holder barrel if there is enough back focus on your telescope. If your telescope is lacking a generous back focus, then simply connect your camera via the M48 threads and forgot about the 2" eyepiece barrel. The 2" nosepiece doesn't really take up much of an optical path, but in some circumstances you might be able to connect your filter wheel to the telescope directly to the drawtube of the focuser in which case you might not even need the nosepiece...
Optical length of the filter wheel
Shortest: 22-25mm depending on which thread is being used
Longest: 80mm when both the 2" nosepiece and 2" eyepiece holder barrel being used
Overall diameter of the filter wheel:
The 2" nosepiece has got a standard 2" filter thread, so two filters could be used simultaneously if necessary.
Installation of the filters.
Back of the filter wheel is being held in place by 4 hex headed bolts. Allen screw is included to remove the back of the filter wheel and to access the interior.
